National Review 10th Anniversary Party

Well, a good time was had by all (except maybe my wife). Actually, kudos to Mrs. Hart who indulges me in my political whim - she actually enjoyed it.

It was an fun event - more of a mixer than a dinner - but the food was tremendous (served by the wandering waiters).

I wasn't quite sure who I was going to run into. But the first gentleman I saw after a quick bite was none other than THE man himself:

That's my wife Heather by the by. The Governor graciously remembered me on the spot although we haven't seen each other one on on for thirty years (more on that later :) ).

Next, I ran into the alway cordial Byron York:

Here was the general crowd:

Lastly a video of Romney giving an introduction at the party. Not very visible but very affable:

I never got to meet Jonah (who stayed in the "exclusive" bar area). To be fair I think he was pretty much commandeered by the exclusive crowd. Still, I met K-Lo (always gracious yet frantically jumping from one conversation to the next). Mario Loyola, Barbara Ledeen, Cliff May, John Miller, Derb, Laura Ingraham, David Frum who I mistook for John Podhoretz - (sorry David - or rather, John or rather...) and a gambit of other very friendly folk of my persuasion.

In short, a bit crowded, but glad I went.
