• 1983 she goes to South Africa to give a concert reportedly for $500,000.
• She was "involved" with Jerry Brown reportedly saying: "The truth is, I never had that much interest in politics. I was just involved with a politician. My interest," she emphasized with a smile, "was private."
• In a July 4th interview Ronstadt mentions: ""I'm going to spend the rest of the summer trying to help John Kerry get elected. The incompetence of this president is so staggering"
• "The New York Times Book Review is my bible"
• NewsMax ran an article about her political leanings of late.
